Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Forwarder in Basildon to manage end-to-end Ocean Import forwarding activities, working to SOPs and KPIs, and coordinating closely with customers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate costing.

You will use Next Gen and MS Office tools, support month-end processes, and contribute to ongoing customer development while maintaining AQ standards and clean desk policy.

Qualifications

• GCSE/O level or equivalent education.
• Proven customer service record and experience.
• Operational experience in international transport/logistics.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end Ocean Import forwarding tasks.
• Follow SOPs/KPIs for compliance.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Ensure timely invoicing, job costing and milestones.
• Support month-end department compliance and cost control.
• Maintain customer relationships and participate in reviews.
• Assist senior forwarders and line manager when required.
• Adopt best practices and support rates reviews with Operations Manager.
