Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding UK is seeking an Ocean Freight Operations Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team, drive KPIs, and deliver high levels of customer service across import/export ocean freight. You will own the division's performance, implement group processes, and develop talent while maintaining compliance with company rules.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead a team, inspire and motivate people to deliver strategy and ground rules.
• Clear understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
• Able to prioritise and perform under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong financial understanding including P&L and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Own division and departments including Ocean Freight team and P&L.
• Manage performance and develop talent with reviews and IDPs.
• Drive end-to-end operations for Ocean Freight and improve routes and rates.
• Negotiate with customers and carriers to maximise profitability.
• Ensure compliance with DGF Ground Rules and UK GDPR requirements.
