Metro, based at our Birmingham Business Park HQ, is seeking an Ocean Export professional to join our high-performing team. You will drive international freight operations, building strong customer relationships and coordinating shipments with precise documentation.

You will work with ERP/SAP systems, manage invoicing and queries, and contribute to a fast-paced environment that values innovation and growth. This role is on-site in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean freight operations.
• Strong attention to detail with commercial impact.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with customers to deliver outstanding service.
• Coordinate freight movement with accurate documentation and timely updates.
• Arrange haulage with shipping lines and ensure dispatch readiness.
• Manage invoicing and document checks with precision.
• Resolve queries quickly and professionally.
• Communicate clearly with overseas agents, suppliers and customers.
• Navigate ERP and SAP systems to support client operations.
