Responsible for managing the Occupational Therapy department in POW, balancing patient care with staff management, including clinical supervision, scheduling, and staff well-being.
Provide mentorship and deliver OT services to children and young people with complex physical difficulties in the community across CTUHB.
Welsh language skills are desirable; applications from Welsh and English speakers are equally welcome.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hospital, community, education, and local authorities to ensure continuous, effective service delivery and optimal outcomes for children with special needs.
Serve as a clinical resource, sharing expertise with colleagues, the public, and healthcare professionals.
Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor practice standards, and influence multidisciplinary team practices.
Engage in advanced assessment and treatment, contribute to diagnosis and clinical reporting, and interpret complex cases.
Oversee triage processes to ensure appropriate care pathways for paediatric patients.
Develop and enhance the paediatric OT service using advanced clinical decision-making and care planning tools, addressing high-need cases and capacity challenges.
Lead educational efforts to promote understanding of Occupational Therapy roles and optimize service planning with stakeholders.
