Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join the Lifelong Services Team on a 4-month contract to support children, young people and adults with lifelong disabilities. You will undertake strengths-based assessments and deliver interventions aimed at promoting independence, wellbeing and better outcomes.

You will work in home and community settings, with some office time in Littlehampton, and collaborate with families, schools, health professionals and partner

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out functional assessments and Occupational Therapy interventions.
• Experience working with physical disabilities in community settings.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation (Care Act 2014 and children's legislation).
• Strong report writing and record-keeping skills.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Undertake OT assessments and reviews in home and community settings.
• Develop strengths-based, person-centred support plans and interventions.
• Assess for and recommend equipment, adaptations and housing alterations.
• Undertake risk assessments and safeguarding interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and collaborate with families, schools and health professionals.
• Support OT Assistants and students and contribute to service development.
