Job summary

Hawley Woods School, part of Kedleston Group Limited, is seeking a talented Occupational Therapist to deliver a high quality, child-centred therapy service in a specialist school setting.

You will hold a clinical caseload, practice autonomously, influence therapy planning, and work with families, educators and external agencies to support holistic student development, while complying with HCPC BAOT registration and RCOT ethics.

Qualifications

• Dip COT, BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy together with HCPC and BAOT registration.
• Previous experience of working in a special school setting or in a CAMHS service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, and parents.
• A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and student support.

Who are we?

Hawley Woods School provides specialist education for autistic children and those with associated conditions or learning disabilities across Key Stages 2-4 supporting children aged 7-17 (school years 3-11).

We help children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who may be struggling to keep up with the pace of work, may be losing confidence, or struggling with the overwhelming sensory environment of their mainstream school. We also help children who have been out of education for a period of time, to positively re-engage in an education which takes into account any negative experiences they may have had in schools so far.

Hawley Woods School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
