Job summary

Kedleston Group is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3/4 pupils, including those with EHCPs. You will plan for individual needs, embed literacy across learning, and track progress using data.

Applicants should have QTS and a teaching degree, with a SEND qualification desirable. You will join a supportive team focused on professional growth and providing an engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

  • QTS and a teaching degree or equivalent.
  • SEND qualification is desirable.
  • Experience with children with SEND and ASC.
  • Experience delivering the English National Curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and innovative teaching methods.

We are seeking a motivated and inspiring English Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people.

What you’ll be doing as an English Teacher:
  • Deliver inclusive, high-quality English lessons to KS3/4 pupils with EHCPs

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Established in 2018, Oakbridge School is an independent special day school in Birmingham with a specially designed learning environment created to meet the needs of autistic children. In November 2025, Oakbridge School moved into its newly developed site in Handsworth Wood, further enhancing our specialist facilities and educational provision.We provide a calm, low arousal, safe, positive and nurturing place where young people can learn and grow.

Oakbridge School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
