Job summary

Elderbrook School, part of Kedleston Group, is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum, including Food Technology, for KS2/KS3 students with SEND.

You will foster a positive, inclusive learning environment, manage classrooms effectively, assess progress, and collaborate with parents and colleagues to support every child’s growth and achievement.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Desirable SEND/ASC experience or training.
• Experience delivering Food Technology to KS2/KS3.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
• Experience teaching or delivering Food Technology
• Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream settings are very welcome
• Experience in teaching KS2 and KS3 curriculum
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods.

Opened in 2015, Elderbrook School, (formally, Arc School Old Arley) is an independent special day school situated within a rural village near Nuneaton, affording children and young people the opportunity to take part in a range of activities within the local community. Elderbrook School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
