Job summary

Latus Group is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join onsite in Bedford. This permanent, part-time role (3 days per week) offers the chance to shape and deliver high-quality workplace health services as part of a wider national provider.

As an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, you will manage referrals, advise on fitness for work, and support safe returns to work, while working closely with managers and employees to implement reasonable workplace adjustments.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Occupational Health qualification or significant Occupational Health experience.
• Competent in venipuncture, health surveillance and clinical assessment.
• Strong case management and fitness-for-work experience.
• Excellent communication and report-writing with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Compassionate, proactive and employee-focused; self-motivated to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conducting management referrals and sickness absence assessments.
• Providing balanced, practical fitness for work advice.
• Supporting employees with safe and sustainable returns to work.
• Advising on reasonable workplace adjustments.
• Producing high-quality reports that help managers make informed decisions.
• Providing ongoing support where continuity of care benefits the individual.

Key Responsibilities

Key Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Occupational Health qualification, or significant Occupational Health experience
• Competent in venipuncture, health surveillance and clinical assessment
• Strong case management and fitness-for-work experience
• Exceptional communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels
• A compassionate, proactive and employee-focused approach
• Self-motivated, with the confidence to work independently while remaining connected to a supportive multidisciplinary team
