Carbon60 are seeking experienced mechanical or electrical O&M Technicians to join our client's team on a permanent basis, supporting current and upcoming Renewable Energy Projects across England and Scotland.
Sector - Renewable Energy (Solar/BESS). Technicians from all backgrounds will be considered.
Locations available - Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Buckinghamshire, Warwickshire & Scotland
Start Date - ASAP
Given as standard - Company Vehicle, Tool Kit, PPE, Workwear, Phone & Laptop
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in all O&M activities related to site improvement and maintenance works.
- Perform Site Technician duties on site and manage or assist with maintenance activities.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and non-scheduled corrective maintenance activities.
- Plan and oversee non-scheduled corrective maintenance activities.
- Keep records/logs of maintenance activities and prepare reports upon completion.
- Ensure compliance with company rules and maintain safe systems of work.
- Ensure safety across sites and compliance with local regulations.
- Assist in developing new maintenance procedures.
- Identify resources/subcontractors for maintenance activities if necessary.
- Oversee contractor activities to ensure effective maintenance execution.
- Liaise with operational management and site operatives regarding daily issues.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency faults.
- Diagnose faults, inspect work, and submit switching schedules as per project programs.
- Promote a positive HS&E culture and suggest initiatives for improvement.
- Identify activity and training improvements, providing feedback to senior management.
- Participate in health & safety initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a field technician.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- UK Driver’s License.
- Willing to travel.
- IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work across multiple sites.
- SMSTS, IOSH, or equivalent & First Aider certificates are beneficial.
- If electrically biased, must be a qualified electrician with an 18th Edition Certificate.
