Job Description:
Job Purpose:
- To deliver accurate M&E ACAD drawings throughout the contract region.
- Represent EMCOR as the key point of contact for all relevant stakeholders associated with Drawing Office & Document requests.
- Under limited supervision, operate computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) systems to produce complex drawings in support of Engineering projects in critical/validated environments.
- Custodian of Customer UK Technical Libraries. To implement a fully integrated life-cycle management process for the management of Equipment files and associated data, which is consistently deployed through the account.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interface with all levels of EMCOR and customer staff to produce complete engineering drawing layout packages and control the quality and integrity of validated and critical space drawings.
- Provide regular reports on progress and escalate issues as required to the Workplace Manager.
- Carry out on-site surveys of plant, equipment, and buildings to prepare high-quality drawings upon request.
- Update existing records & create new drawings from engineers’ sketches and specifications to accurately represent modifications.
- Utilise latest AutoCAD 3D tools.
- Maintain documentation library of paper and electronic documents to include but not limited to: O & M manuals, Change control documents, Project turnover records, Validation / Qualification records, etc.
- Ensure continued compliance with EMCOR and customers, corporate, regulatory, and statutory authority requirements.
- Develop controls to ensure subcontractor performance meets required quality standards.
- Document all work promptly to confirm authenticity, accuracy, compliance, and traceability, following Good Documentation Practices.
- Review manual statuses, liaising with engineering teams to define current accuracy, and prepare reports.
Leadership and Client Management:

- Manage day-to-day client interactions, set and manage expectations, develop relationships, and seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.

- Follow health and safety legislation, report issues, and promote EMCOR’s code of conduct and client rules.
Person Specification:
- Accredited AutoCAD user (version 2013+), with knowledge of 3D tools and Autodesk Building Design Suite.
- Diploma or Degree in a related field or minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing, or regulated industries.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance areas, drawing office software, and building services.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong process initiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Additional related degree or diploma.
