Job Summary:

Become an integral part of the PowerGen Technical Support team. Provide technical support across all aspects of Rolls Royce Solutions power generation products and balance of plant, from initial conception to end of life. Responsible for day-to-day technical support of sales solutions, aftersales, and parts enquiries raised internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a zero harm culture by ensuring all HSQE requirements are met.
  • Provide first-class customer liaison and fulfill technical support requests.
  • Support sales solutions, aftersales, and end-user support for the product range, including electrical, mechanical, and controls, in the UK, Ireland, and overseas.
  • Maintain project technical files (drawings, wiring diagrams, O&M manuals).
  • Design, build, test, and commission control circuits as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of tasks via the CEC platform.
  • Lead resolution of technical issues promptly.
  • Follow up on tasks passed to the CCC to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support development and review of work instructions, processes, and spare parts database.
  • Provide technical reports and presentations as required.
  • Write method statements and support risk assessments.
  • Maintain liaison with internal departments and participate in cross-departmental interactions.
  • Visit integrators and customers, building long-term relationships.
  • Attend customer witness testing to ensure compliance and satisfaction.
  • Support and deliver training programs as needed.
  • Lead development of new technical solutions.
  • Continuously improve technical competence and processes.
  • Support the service team with technical support, including site visits.
Person Profile:

This role requires an enthusiastic individual with good communication skills, able to work independently and in a team. Must have mechanical and electrical experience, and be willing to work towards MTU power generation knowledge. Willingness to travel within the UK & ROI, and occasionally overseas for training. The role is office-based with some travel expected.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant industry experience.
  • Willing to work towards Professional registration with the Engineering Council.
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
