Job summary

Deneholm Primary School in England is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team. The role, Monday to Friday 8:45am-3:15pm (27.5 hours per week, term time only), also includes Midday Assistant duties and is fixed term until 31 August 2028 linked to a named child.

Qualifications

• Be experienced in working with children at early stages of their learning development.
• Be experienced in supporting children with learning difficulties such as Global Development Delay, ASD and ADHD.
• Have the ability to create positive learning environments.
• Have high expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour.
• Have evidence of ability to enthuse and motivate pupils.
• Have a strong and caring personality and be calm, patient and firm.
• Have good organisation and communication skills.
• Be committed to providing a child-centred nurturing ethos, collaborative teamwork and flexible working.

Responsibilities

• Provide LSA and midday support as part of a friendly team.
• Assist children in early stages of learning development.
• Support pupils with learning difficulties such as GDD, ASD and ADHD.
• Contribute to a positive and calm learning environment.
• Collaborate with staff to promote pupil attainment and behaviour.
