Learning Support Assistant with Midday Duties

Position Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Part-time Contract Term: Fixed

Vacancy: 1-2-1 Learning Support Assistant with Midday Assistant duties

Position Start Date: As soon as possible

Contract Type: Learning Support Assistant - Monday-Friday 8:45am-3:15pm, 27 hours 30 minutes per week (term time only)

Midday Assistant - Monday-Friday, 2 hours, 5 minutes per week

Contract Term: Fixed Term - 31/08/2028 - Linked to named child

Deneholm Primary School is an extremely happy and positive school looking to appoint a highly effective, caring, enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This role will also include additional Midday Assistant duties.

The successful candidate will:

  • be experienced in working with children at early stages of their learning development
  • be experienced in supporting children with learning difficulties such as Global Development Delay, ASD and ADHD
  • have the ability to create positive learning environments
  • have high expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour
  • have evidence of ability to enthuse and motivate pupils
  • have a strong and caring personality and is calm, patient and firm
  • have good organisation and communication skills
  • will be committed to providing a 'child-centred nurturing' ethos, collaborative team-work and flexible working.
