Job summary

Catshill Federation is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant (TA2) to join our nurturing school community. You will work under the direction of class teachers to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing and development.

This role involves 1:1 and small group support, helping to create an enabling learning environment, promoting inclusion and safeguarding, and assisting with assessment and resource preparation. DBS checks will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential if you bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to build warm, positive relationships with children and communicate clearly with staff, pupils and families.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Help create a positive, enabling learning environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships.
• Promote inclusion and ensure equal access to learning.
• Supervise pupils to support safety and wellbeing.
• Assist with assessment, marking and record-keeping in line with policy.
• Prepare resources and support high-quality classroom provision.
