Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Reception Class Teacher for a village primary school near Haverhill, Suffolk. You will lead a Reception class in line with the EYFS framework, plan a balance of adult-led activities and play, and build a safe, engaging early-learning environment.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience in early years or EYFS practice is preferred.
• Creates a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Able to adapt activities to suit children’s developmental stages.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Reception class in line with the EYFS framework.
• Plan a balance of adult-led activities and purposeful play.
• Develop early communication, phonics, numbers and personal skills.
• Observe children’s learning and record progress.
• Work with teaching assistants and families to support individual development.
