Marchant Recruitment is seeking a Reception Class Teacher for a maternity cover in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. Start date is January 2027, with a salary on the MPS/UPS scale dependent on experience. The role entails leading a Reception class, balancing structured teaching with play and developing early literacy and numeracy skills.

You will work within an early-years team to support communication with families and to observe and assess progress in line with the EYFS framework.

Qualificações

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience in Reception or strong EYFS understanding.
• Ability to create a safe, stimulating, inclusive classroom.
• Experience using observation to plan next steps.
• Strong communication with families.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a Reception class in line with the EYFS.
• Balance adult-led teaching with play-based learning.
• Develop early phonics, language, number and motor skills.
• Observe progress and maintain assessment records.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and families to support individual needs.
