Job summary

The View @ Avebury in Tonbridge is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support 16 to 18-year-old students in lessons and independent study. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students stay focused and understand their work.

Working in a warm, small-scale centre, you will build nurturing learning relationships, communicate with parents, and adapt to changing activities while maintaining professional boundaries to support positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 and small group support as specified by Centre Manager & ASENCo.
• Supervise groups and individual students to ensure understanding and focus.
• Encourage participation in tasks and interventions aligned with students' development levels.

Responsibilities

• Build nurturing learning relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support students' needs.
• Be flexible and open to change for working on different activities.
• Assist with independent study sessions and in-class tasks as needed.
• Support with basic administrative and computer tasks to aid learning.
