Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Runcorn. You will support children in the EYFS through play-based and structured activities, helping them learn, develop and build confidence during those early stages of education.

Ideal candidates have experience with children in a school setting and hold a relevant TA or EY qualification, or have suitable experience.

Qualifications

Has previous experience working with children, ideally within an Early Years or primary school setting.
Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification, or has suitable experience.
Has a warm, patient and positive approach.
Understands safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
Is reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Support children across the EYFS curriculum through play-based and structured learning activities.
Work alongside the class teacher to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment.
Provide individual and small-group support where required.
Support children's communication, language, social and emotional development.
Help with classroom routines, observations and learning activities.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
