Job summary

Randstad Education in Merseyside is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support Nursery and Reception pupils. You will help deliver a safe, inclusive environment and assist with play-based learning.

The role is full-time during term time, 08:30–15:30, with competitive daily pay and ongoing professional development. DBS needed, plus 6 months UK school experience, strong English and a genuine passion for early years.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a UK school or EYFS setting (Nursery or Reception preferred)
• Enhanced DBS check on update service or willingness to apply for one
• Good written and verbal English, with strong communication
• Commitment to long-term, full-time role
• Professional references from recent employers

Responsibilities

• Support EYFS curriculum through play-based activities promoting communication, language, and physical development
• Provide one-on-one and small group intervention to meet early learning goals
• Assist lead teacher with classroom management indoors and outdoors
• Observe and record pupil progress for learning journeys and share insights with teachers and parents
• Support social and emotional wellbeing and high standards of hygiene and safety
