Job summary

Randstad Education are recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Runcorn. This role supports children in the EYFS through play-based and structured activities, helping them learn, develop and build confidence in those early education stages.

You will work with the class teacher to create a nurturing learning environment, provide one-to-one and small-group support, and assist with routines, observations and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in EYFS or primary setting.
• Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification or suitable experience.
• Warm, patient and positive approach.
• Understands safeguarding and promoting childrens wellbeing.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support children across EYFS through play-based and structured learning activities.
• Work alongside the class teacher to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment.
• Provide individual and small-group support where required.
• Support childrens communication, language, social and emotional development.
• Help with classroom routines, observations and learning activities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
