Job summary

Woodbridge Primary School, Woodbridge, Suffolk, seeks an Early Years Practitioner for the nursery, part-time (11.30am–3.30pm) across 38 weeks per year. The role involves a pro rata salary of £27,274 with a maternity/paternity cover contract to 31 August 2027, starting as soon as possible.

Applicants should have a Level 2+ EY Childcare Qualification, EYFS knowledge, Pediatric First Aid, and a Level 2 Food Safety certificate (or willingness to obtain). DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• a Level 2+ Early Years Childcare Qualification from the approved DFE list
• knowledge and experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
• a Pediatric First aid certificate
• a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate (or willingness to complete)

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing EYFS environment for nursery children.
• Promote inclusive practice and positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and staff.
• Support the Nursery and After School Club sessions with dedication and energy.
