Job summary

Randstad Education in Forest Row is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our caring team. You will provide high-quality care and early education for young children, following the EYFS framework and supporting each child’s development.

As Key Person, you will monitor progress, plan engaging activities, and build strong partnerships with families. This full-time role offers stability, ongoing professional development, and a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years Educator/Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven nursery or early years setting experience.
• Solid EYFS knowledge and safeguarding procedures.
• Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 8:00–18:00.
• Enhanced DBS check required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and early education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Act as a Key Person to a group of children, tracking their progress and creating engaging, stimulating learning opportunities.
• Build strong, trusting, and professional relationships with children, parents, and carers.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children at all times.
• Adhere strictly to all health & safety, safeguarding, and child protection policies.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Level 3 Early Years Educator / Childcare qualification (or equivalent recognised standard).
• Experience: Proven experience working in a nursery or professional early years setting.
• Knowledge: Sound understanding of EYFS, child development principles, and robust safeguarding protocols.
• Commitment: Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
• Compliance: Must hold an Enhanced DBS check (preferably on the Update Service) or be willing to undergo one prior to starting.
