Job summary

Career Makers Inc. in Blackpool seeks an experienced Home Manager to lead a 30-bed nursing home, ensuring high-quality care and commercial success. You will drive occupancy, compliance, and staff development in a supportive, well-established setting.

The role requires proven leadership in elderly care, solid knowledge of CQC standards, and the ability to manage budgets while maintaining excellent resident care standards.

Qualifications

• Previous Home Manager experience within a nursing or elderly care setting.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards.
• Proven leadership and people-management skills.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of budgets and occupancy.
• Confident managing a large care service.
• Nurse qualification and NMC registration would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to the nursing and care teams.
• Ensure consistently high standards of person-centred care.
• Maintain full compliance with CQC and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, motivate and develop the home's management and care teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across the service.
• Manage staffing, recruitment, retention and performance.
• Oversee budgets and maintain strong commercial performance.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals.
• Monitor quality, audits, safeguarding and clinical governance.
• Maintain and develop occupancy within the home.
