Job summary

Leaders In Care Ltd in Worthing, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced Home Manager to lead a 33-bed nursing home and own day-to-day operations with a strong governance focus. The role requires delivering outstanding standards of care, building a positive culture with residents and staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years in a Home Manager or senior leadership role, with solid knowledge of CQC requirements and people management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Home Manager or senior leadership in care services.
• Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, governance and auditing.
• Proven track record of achieving inspection outcomes.
• Excellent organisational and office management skills.
• Experience in people management, recruitment and performance management.
• Ability to handle sensitive conversations with relatives and professionals.
• Commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a care and nursing team.
• Maintain and improve CQC compliance and quality standards.
• Drive governance, auditing and quality assurance processes.
• Manage safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee staffing, rotas, recruitment and appraisals.
• Build relationships with residents, relatives and professionals.
• Oversee complaints professionally and promptly.
• Support occupancy and financial performance.
• Collaborate with owners and compliance colleagues for continuous improvement.
• Ensure care remains person-centred and dignified.
