Job summary

Orchid Healthcare near Milton Keynes is seeking a Nursing Home Manager to lead a small elderly and dementia care home on a temporary 3-month contract with a view to permanency. Salary is £42,000 per annum pro rata, and the role requires immediate start and 40 hours per week.

You will oversee clinical and administrative planning, motivate carers, monitor residents' health, and liaise with GPs and multi-disciplinary teams to maintain high standards of care and compliance with CQC standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Home Manager and proven ability to lead a team
• Must hold RMA / NVQ5 or equivalent
• Valid NMC PIN - RGN, RMN essential
• Experience in budgeting and recruitment
• Passion for elderly care

Responsibilities

• Promote clinical and administrative arrangements, training and care planning within the home
• Organising and motivating the carers to ensure good standards of care are delivered
• Maintain and monitor the health and welfare of residents
• Liaising with other healthcare professionals (clients, GPs and other multi-disciplinary team members)
• Ensure CQC National Minimum Standards regulations are met to ensure the needs, welfare and social inclusion of the residents are secured
• Organising and attending regular staff meetings
• Ensure the overall smooth, efficient and effective running of the care home at all times

Job Description:

A temporary Home Manager post has become available at a nursing home near Milton Keynes that specialises in providing care to the elderly.

• £42,000 per annum, negotiable

The successful candidate will be required to ensure the smooth running of the home at all times and to the highest quality of care to the home's elderly residents, some of who may suffer with dementia. Good communication skills, previous home management experience and a passion for providing outstanding care are therefore essential.
