Job summary

Orchid Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Home Manager for a small elderly care home near Milton Keynes. The temporary 3-month contract offers £42,000 per annum pro rata and 40 hours a week, with a view to permanent employment.

You will lead the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and ensure compliance with CQC standards. The ideal candidate will have prior Home Manager experience, hold an RMA/NVQ5 or equivalent, a valid NMC PIN (RGN/RMN), and strong budgeting and recruitment

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Home Manager.
• Holds RMA/NVQ5 or equivalent.
• Valid NMC PIN – RMN or RMN essential.
• Experience in budgeting and recruitment.
• Passion for elderly care.

Responsibilities

• Promote clinical and administrative arrangements, training and care planning within the home.
• Organise and motivate carers to maintain high standards of care.
• Maintain and monitor residents' health and welfare.
• Liaise with GPs and multi-disciplinary team members.
• Ensure regulatory standards and regular staff meetings are met.

Job Description:

A tempoary Home Manager post has become available at a nursing home near Milton Keynes that specialises in providing care to the elderly.

• £42,000 per annum, negotiable
• Inital 3 month contract with possibility of becoming permanent

The successful candidate will be required to ensure the smooth running of the home at all times and to the highest quality of care to the home’s elderly residents, some of who may suffer with dementia. Good communication skills, previous home management experience and a passion for providing outstanding care are therefore essential.

Job requirements of the Home Manager:

• Promote clinical and administrative arrangement, training and care planning within the home
• Organising and motivating the carers to ensure good standards of care are delivered
• Maintain and monitor the health and welfare of residents
• Liaising with other healthcare professionals (clients, GPs and other multi-disciplinary team members)
• Ensure CQC National Minimum Standards regulations are met to ensure the needs, welfare and social inclusion of the residents are secured
• Organising and attending regular staff meetings
• Ensure the overall smooth, efficient and effective running of the care home at all times
