Job summary

Orchid Healthcare in Bedford is seeking a permanent Nursing Home Manager to lead a luxury elderly/dementia care home.

The role requires previous home management experience, budgeting and recruitment skills, and an active NMC PIN or equivalent. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care, coordinating clinical and administrative arrangements, and guiding a team to deliver excellence in resident welfare.

Qualifications

• Promote clinical and administrative arrangement, training and care planning within the home.
• Organising and motivating the carers to ensure good standards of care are delivered.
• Maintain and monitor the health and welfare of residents.
• Liaising with other healthcare professionals (GPs and multi-disciplinary team).
• Ensure compliance with CQC National Minimum Standards.
• Organising and attending regular staff meetings.
• Ensure smooth, efficient and effective running of the care home at all times.

Job Description

A permanent Nursing Home Manager post has become available in a luxury nursing home in Bedford that specialise in providing nursing care to the elderly.

• Up to £60,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications
• Must have previous experience as a care home manager
• 40 hours per week, as per home's needs
• Luxury nursing home for the elderly

The successful candidate will be required to ensure the smooth running of the home at all times and to the highest quality of nursing care to the home's elderly residents, some of who may suffer with dementia. Good communication skills, previous home management experience and a passion for providing outstanding care are therefore essential.

Skills / Qualifications Required
