Job summary

Orchid Healthcare in Milford on Sea is seeking an experienced Nursing Home Manager to oversee a luxury elderly care home. The permanent post offers up to £70,000 per annum, with a 40-hour week and flexibility to suit the home’s needs.

You will lead clinical and administrative operations, coordinate care planning, and motivate carers to maintain high standards. Strong communication with GPs and the multi-disciplinary team is essential to ensure excellent resident care.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a Home Manager.
• Proven background of achieving Good or Outstanding ratings.
• NVQ5/RMA or equivalent qualification.
• NMC PIN desirable but not essential.
• Experience in budgeting and recruitment.
• Passion for elderly care.

Responsibilities

• Promote clinical and administrative arrangements, training and care planning within the home.
• Organise and motivate carers to ensure good standards of care are delivered.
• Maintain and monitor the health and welfare of residents.
• Liaise with GPs and other multi-disciplinary team members.
• Ensure CQC National Minimum Standards are met to secure residents' needs and welfare.
• Organising and attending regular staff meetings.
• Ensure the overall smooth, efficient and effective running of the care home at all times.

Nursing Home Manager, £70,000 per annum

A permanent Home Manager post has become available in a luxury nursing home in Milford on Sea that specialises in providing nursing care to the elderly.

• Up to £70,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications


• Must have previous experience as a care home manager


• 40 hours per week, as per home’s needs

The successful candidate will be required to ensure the smooth running of the home at all times and to the highest quality of care to the home’s elderly residents, some of who may suffer with dementia. Good communication skills, previous home management experience and a passion for providing outstanding care are therefore essential.

Job requirements of the Home Manager

Skills / Qualifications Required
