Job summary

Orchid Healthcare Ltd in Southampton seeks a seasoned Nursing Home Manager to oversee a luxury elderly and dementia care home. The role requires driving clinical governance, staff leadership and excellent resident-focused care.

The successful candidate will have proven home management experience, NMC PIN in good standing, and a track record of Good/Outstanding ratings. Salary up to £80,000 with flexible hours per home needs.

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience as Nursing Home Manager.
• Proven background in running a home with Good/Outstanding ratings.
• Must hold RMA / NVQ5 or equivalent.
• Valid NMC PIN – RGN, RMN essential.
• Experience in budgeting, marketing and recruitment.
• Passion for elderly care.

Responsibilities

• Promote clinical and administrative arrangement, training and care planning within the home.
• Organising and motivating the carers to ensure good standards of care are delivered.
• Maintain and monitor the health and welfare of residents.
• Liaising with other healthcare professionals (clients, GPs and other multi-disciplinary team members).
• Ensure CQC National Minimum Standards regulations are met to secure residents' needs and welfare.
• Organising and attending regular staff meetings.
• Ensure the overall smooth, efficient and effective running of the care home at all times.

Job Description:

A permanent Home Manager post has become available in a luxury nursing home in Southampton that specialises in providing nursing and dementia care to the elderly.

• Up to £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience
• Must have previous experience as a care home manager
• 40 hours per week, as per home’s needs
• Luxury nursing home for the elderly

The successful candidate will be required to ensure the smooth running of the home at all times and to the highest quality of care to the home’s elderly residents, some of who may suffer with dementia. Good communication skills, previous home management experience and a passion for providing outstanding care are therefore essential.
