Career Makers is recruiting an experienced Home Manager for a well-established, large nursing home in Aylesbury. You will take overall responsibility for leading and managing a high-quality, luxurious home, while providing strong, visible leadership to a stable care team.

This role offers the opportunity to drive person-centred care, uphold CQC standards, manage budgets and occupancy, and deliver continuous quality improvements within a supportive organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a nursing or residential care home.
• Understanding of CQC regulatory requirements and standards.
• Proven ability to lead a care team and drive service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the home, taking overall responsibility for performance, quality, safety, resident wellbeing and team leadership.
• Manage occupancy, budgets, resources, workforce planning, KPIs and day‑to‑day performance.
• Champion person‑centred care with high standards of dignity and safeguarding.
• Drive compliance, audits, risk management and quality assurance to maintain regulatory standards.

Responsibilities as a Home Manager:

• Lead and manage the home, taking overall responsibility for performance, quality, safety, resident wellbeing and team leadership.
• Manage the wider operation, including occupancy, budgets, resources, workforce planning, KPIs and effective day‑to‑day performance.
• Champion exceptional person‑centred care, ensuring high standards of dignity, safeguarding, clinical governance and quality of life.
• Drive compliance and continuous improvement, maintaining CQC and legislative standards while overseeing audits, risk management and quality assurance.

Requirements as a Home Manager:

• Previous experience managing a nursing or residential care home.
• Strong knowledge and experience working within CQC regulatory requirements and standards.
