Job summary

Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 4 Nursing Associate for Cedar ward, mainly based at St Peter's Hospital with duties across Ashford Hospital and other sites as required. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care under supervision within the nursing and multidisciplinary team.

The post involves implementing care plans, performing clinical skills, and working within NHS pathways. Sponsorship is not available; closing date is 08 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Registered Nursing Associate with NMC registration.
• Foundation Degree in Nursing.
• Evidence of further training.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor care per nursing plans and patient pathways.
• Ensure a welcoming, safe environment and document care.
• Take regular observations, identify deterioration, and escalate.
• Initiate basic life support until clinical help arrives.
• Assist transfers and handover of patient care.
• Perform skills: ECG, cannulation, venepuncture, catheterisation, dressings.
