Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group’s Ottershaw nursery is seeking a Team Leader who will inspire a warm, confident, and creative team to deliver high-quality early years education. You’ll lead with kindness and ensure EYFS, Ofsted, and health & safety standards are rigorously followed.

You’ll manage day-to-day operations, support marketing activities, and foster a safe, welcoming environment for every child in our established group of settings.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team within an EYFS setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework, safeguarding and health & safety.
• Experience handling employee issues and ensuring compliance with legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and management for the nursery staff.
• Ensure EYFS is implemented to a high standard across the team.
• Support marketing and social media activities as required.

Key Tasks and responsibilities

• Ensuring that the EYFS is implemented and followed throughout the team to an exemplary standard.
• Providing day-to-day leadership and management for the team and staff across the nursery as required.
• Assisting in the effective use of social media and other marketing activities as required.

Located on Brox Road in Chertsey, our nursery is easily accessible from the M25 and set in a charming, historic former schoolhouse, providing a warm, inviting environment.

Our spacious garden encourages sensory and exploratory play, fostering curiosity and creativity.

We’d love to hear from you if can demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience

• A full and relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3 or above
• An excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and the Ofsted inspection framework
• Experience of people management and dealing with employee issues
• A comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations
• Working knowledge of employment legislation including equal opportunities legislation
• To be fully trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid
