Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery in Ottershaw is seeking a Nursery Team Leader to inspire and lead a dedicated team, ensuring EYFS delivery and high-quality learning moments for children. You will oversee daily operations with warmth, confidence and a focus on safety and development.

A full Early Years qualification is required, with strong EYFS and Ofsted knowledge, plus experience in people management and safeguarding. The role offers a supportive environment within our established nursery group.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Early Years qualification - Level 3 or above.
• Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and the Ofsted inspection framework.
• Experience of people management and dealing with employee issues.
• Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of employment legislation including equal opportunities legislation.
• Fully trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the EYFS is implemented and followed throughout the team to an exemplary standard.
• Providing day-to-day leadership and management for the team and staff across the nursery as required.
• Assisting in the effective use of social media and other marketing activities as required.

With experience leading a team, you combine warmth and professionalism with a strong understanding of EYFS, Ofsted, and Health & Safety standards, helping to create a safe, happy, and high-quality environment for every child.

Located on Brox Road in Chertsey, our nursery is easily accessible from the M25 and set in a charming, historic former schoolhouse, providing a warm, inviting environment.
