Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting a motivated Nursery Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis for a pupil with an EHCP at a Bedlington school. The role runs each afternoon, 8:30-12:30, Monday to Friday, from September 2026 to July 2027, and may include personal care elements as required.

The post is full-time and temporary, with excellent PAYE rates and a guaranteed pay scheme subject to availability, plus CPD and dedicated consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary school aged children.
• Experience working with pupils with SEND.
• Passion for the progress of primary school pupils.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a child with an EHCP.
• Work afternoons 8:30–12:30, Monday to Friday.
• Assist with general classroom support as needed.

The School and Role

Vision for Education is recruiting a motivated and driven Nursery Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time basis at a school in Bedlington from as soon as possible. The Nursery Teaching Assistant appointed for this role will be working on a 1:1 basis to support a child who has an EHCP, and the role will be every afternoon of the week (Monday - Friday, 8:30-12:30). There may be elements of personal care required for this role. This is a school where children are enabled to reach their full potential, and which creates an atmosphere of respect.
