St Michael's CofE Primary Academy in Exeter is recruiting a Nursery Teaching Assistant to join the early years team. This fixed-term post runs until 31 August 2027 and is 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 11:30am–3:30pm, term-time only (38 weeks per year).
The role supports nursery children’s development and learning in a caring, inclusive setting. The salary starts at STC Grade 2, NJC Points 4-7 (£11,840) with FTE £26,016; an enhanced DBS check is required.

St Michael’s CofE Primary Academy is a larger than average, primary school, located in Heavitree, Exeter and has been part of the local community for over 140 years. It is oversubscribed and is currently full with 420 pupils. The school is inclusive and as such, welcomes children with a range of needs and from a variety of backgrounds. This leads to an active learning environment, catering for diverse cohorts whilst ensuring high standards. There is a strong team culture with staff working closely with each other for the benefit of all the children. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a calm and patient demeanour, who is committed to helping young people achieve their full potential. You will have had previous experience in working with children in a similar setting and be able to effectively communicate with adults and children alike.
