Job summary

St Michael's Church of England Primary School in Larkhill, Wiltshire, invites applications for a passionate Year 5 Class Teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2026. We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner who can plan high-quality lessons, raise attainment and work well within our KS2 team within the Acorn Education Trust.

The post is full-time and starts in September 2026, with a closing date of 25 August 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with KS2 team and school community to support learning.
  • Keep up-to-date with Primary/KS2 curriculum initiatives.
  • Foster positive relationships with students and staff and maintain a supportive classroom.

St Michael’s is an open and inclusive primary school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Located in the garrison town of Larkhill, Wiltshire, our school aims to spark interest, ignite a passion for learning and fire up ambition to inspire every child to recognise and exceed expectations. Our staff provide a challenging, yet nurturing, environment based on our Christian values and we are committed to learning outside the classroom, as much as inside; with regular trips planned and visitors invited in to help make the learning relevant and linked to both our local community and the wider world. In May 2022 we joined Acorn Education Trust, which has provided exciting opportunities to improve local education and draw on collective experience.

St Michael's Church of England Primary School is looking for a passionate Year 5 Class Teacher to join its dedicated team of teaching staff, with effect from September 2026.

  • Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to the work in the KS2 team and across the wider school community;

  • Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff;

  • Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure;

  • Has a desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure.
