Wistaston Church Lane Academy in Crewe is recruiting a Nursery Assistant to support the nursery class and after school club. You should understand the Early Years Framework and enjoy play-based learning while building warm relationships with children and families.
Previous experience with young children is essential and a Level 2+ childcare/early years qualification is expected. The role includes term-time hours with after school coverage and DBS checks are required.
The Learning Partnership along with the leadership team at Wistaston Church Lane, wish to appoint a Nursery Assistant to work in our nursery class. We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the Early Years Framework, is passionate about play based learning and who can form warm positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues. This role will also include working in our After School Club to help support the nursery children who attend each day.
Previous experience working with young children is required as is a childcare/early years/education qualification at level 2 or higher. Please see person specification for a list of acceptable qualifications.
Working hours: 28.75 hours per week,
Weeks: 39
Monday to Friday 11.45am -5.30pm.
Salary: Grade 4 SCP 5, FTE - £25,584 (pro-rata per annum with hours as employed).
Actual Pay: £17,152 Closing Date: Monday 31st August 2026
