Job summary

Egerton Primary School in Knutsford is seeking a dedicated practitioner to deliver high-quality early years education within the EYFS framework. You will act as a keyworker for a group of children, fostering strong relationships with families and contributing to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

The role requires Level 3 in Early Years Education (or equivalent) and experience with SEND, safeguarding, and planning and assessing children against the EYFS.

About this Role

To provide high-quality early years education and care for children within the EYFS, supporting their development in line with the EYFS curriculum. You will act as a keyworker for a group of children, fostering strong relationships with families and contributing to a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Strong understanding of the EYFS framework. Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practices. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Working with children within the Early Years (age 0-5). Experience working with children with SEND. Experience working in a school-based preschool setting (desirable). Experience planning and assessing children against the EYFS framework.

Qualifications and Training: Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, or equivalent. Paediatric first aid training (desirable).

Personal Qualities: A passion for working with children. Ability to work under pressure. A desire to promote the school vision and values. The ability to build positive and respectful relationships across the school community. A desire to serve in the best interests of the school’s pupils. Can ensure the school values of brave, kind and curious are demonstrated through their actions.
