Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to support nurseries across Torquay and surrounding areas. You will create a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 0–5 and help with daily routines and play-based learning.

We welcome Level 2/3 childcare qualifications, or QTS, and experience in Early Years. Roles offer £14.25–£16.00 per hour, flexible shifts and an immediate start, with a dedicated consultant to help you find opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 childcare qualification, or QTS.
• Previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding practices.
• Warm, patient and enthusiastic personality.

Responsibilities

• Creating a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5.
• Supporting children’s learning and development through creative, play‑based activities.
• Building positive relationships with children and nursery teams.
• Helping with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor play.
• Encouraging children’s confidence, independence and curiosity.
• Following the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
