Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd are seeking a passionate Nursery Room Leader to join an Early Years setting in Chelmsford. You will lead the room, support a team and create a safe, fun and stimulating environment where children can learn and thrive.

The role requires previous EYFS experience, a Level 3+ Early Years qualification, clear safeguarding commitment and excellent communication skills. You will be supported by a dedicated consultant and have access to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an Early Years or nursery setting.
• Relevant Early Years qualification, ideally Level 3 or above
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Previous Room Leader or leadership experience is desirable
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A caring, enthusiastic and nurturing approach
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and children's wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room
• Support and motivate a team of Early Years practitioners
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS
• Monitor children's progress and complete observations
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Promote positive behaviour and independence
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and health & safety
