Job summary

Randstad Education in Forest Row is seeking a passionate Nursery Room Leader to head the EYFS room, inspire a team of practitioners and ensure a safe, engaging environment where children flourish.

You'll lead daily operations, design a child-led EYFS curriculum, mentor staff, maintain developmental records, and build strong partnerships with parents while upholding safeguarding and health policies. A Level 3 Early Years qualification and leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Certification: Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience in an Early Years setting with EYFS knowledge.
• Leadership experience preferred but junior leaders encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Room Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring high standards of care, early education, and safety.
• Curriculum & EYFS: Design and deliver a child-led curriculum aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Team Guidance: Mentor, support, and supervise room staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.
• Key Person Duties: Maintain accurate developmental records, conduct assessments, and support individual learning journeys for every child.
• Parent Partnerships: Build strong, open relationships with parents and carers through regular communication and updates.
• Safeguarding & Health: Uphold safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times.
