Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated Nursery Room Leader to lead a busy early years setting. You will manage a room, guide a team of practitioners, and create a safe, stimulating environment for children to learn and thrive.

Applicants should hold an Early Years qualification (ideally Level 3 or above), deep knowledge of the EYFS, and strong communication and organisational skills to lead a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Early Years or nursery setting.
• Early Years qualification (Level 3+ or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room.
• Support and motivate a team of Early Years practitioners.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS.
• Monitor children's progress and complete observations.

THE ROLE

Vision for Education are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a welcoming Early Years setting in Chelmsford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional to lead a room, support a team and create a safe, fun and stimulating environment where children can learn and thrive.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room
• Support and motivate a team of Early Years practitioners
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS
• Monitor children's progress and complete observations
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Promote positive behaviour and independence
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and health & safety

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience within an Early Years or nursery setting
• Relevant Early Years qualification, ideally Level 3 or above
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Previous Room Leader or leadership experience is desirable
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A caring, enthusiastic and nurturing approach
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and children's wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
