Job summary

St. George’s Nursery is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to support and guide a small team in a warm, inclusive setting. You will work closely with the Deputy and Nursery Manager to maintain high standards of care, education and safeguarding while fostering a positive environment for children and staff.

You will lead a room, liaise with families, and ensure records of children’s progress and routines are maintained, supporting ongoing CPD and career progression within the nursery group.

Qualifications

• EYFS knowledge and safeguarding understanding are essential.
• DBS check and references are required.
• Minimum 3 years of childcare experience.
• Management experience is preferred but not essential.
• Committed to delivering high standards of care and education.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide your room team to deliver exceptional childcare.
• Collaborate with Deputy and Nursery Manager to run the room smoothly.
• Maintain high standards of care, education and safeguarding.
• Keep records of children’s progress and routines.
• Ensure EYFS compliance and promote a positive learning environment.
