Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking a Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms, lead a team and ensure educational strategies are integrated across the centre. You will inspire your team to achieve high standards of care and learning.

Based in Stockton-on-Tees, the role supports children’s development using the Bee Curious curriculum, with a focus on safety, inclusivity, and effective communication with families. This is a senior, people-focused post within our busy nursery.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Supervisory experience in an early years setting is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
• Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
• Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring their progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
• Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring the holistic development and personal care needs of a group of children.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.

About Our Nursery

Our beautiful Stockton Bowesfield nursery has an Ofsted rating of Good, and has a capacity of 108. Our passionate team of staff strive in giving all the children the best start in life. We have strong links to charities in the area to support those in need. Located in a busy industrial area our purpose built building is in the suburbs of Stockton-on-Tees. We're on Cygnet Drive, which is a short distance from the both the A66, A19, Stockton Town and Bowesfield Marsh and have a free onsite car park.

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
