Job summary

Busy Bees is recruiting a Room Leader in Harrogate to oversee multiple rooms and ensure the Bee Curious curriculum is embedded across the centre. You will lead a team, promote high standards of care and learning, and develop strong relationships with families.

The ideal candidate brings Level 3 early years qualifications and supervisory experience, with excellent leadership and communication skills to inspire staff and deliver excellent outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or higher in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory responsibilities is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to support families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership.
• Oversee development and wellbeing of children with progress communicated to parents.
• Act as Key Person for a group of children.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met.

About our Nursery

Harrogate Cornwall Road is an Ofsted-rated "Good" nursery with a capacity of 60 children. The nursery features thoughtfully designed rooms that group children by developmental stage, promoting learning and fun. It also has a creative outdoor garden area where children are encouraged to explore freely. Located in the heart of Harrogate on Cornwall Road, the nursery is just a 3-minute drive from the A61. Public transport options are convenient, with a bus stop on Rutland Road serving route X12 and Harrogate train station just a 20-minute walk away. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.

• Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring their progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
• Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring the holistic development and personal care needs of a group of children.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
