Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking a Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms, drive the Bee Curious curriculum and inspire a team to deliver high standards of care and learning.

You will lead planning, mentoring and safeguarding, ensuring progress is tracked and shared with families, while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment across the centre.

• Proven leadership experience in an early years setting.
• Strong communication with families and staff.
• Ability to plan age-appropriate activities and monitor progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
• Oversee development and wellbeing of children and communicate progress with parents.
• Take on the Key Person role for a group of children and ensure care needs are met.
• Maintain health and safety standards and a clean, secure environment.

Role Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
• Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
• Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring their progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
• Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring the holistic development and personal care needs of a group of children.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Passionate about fostering childrens development and creating positive relationships with families.
