Job summary

Nala Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior Early Years Educator / Nursery Room Leader to join a nursery in Chipping Norton on a full-time basis. The role combines high-quality childcare with room leadership responsibilities and staff supervision.

The ideal candidate will have an Level 3 Early Years qualification, strong EYFS understanding, and a track record of team leadership. You will promote a loving, inclusive environment and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 or above qualification within Early Years.
• Proven experience working as an Early Years Educator, Nursery Nurse or Nursery Practitioner.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
• Experience of supporting or leading a team would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
• A caring, positive and inclusive approach.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider nursery team.
• A commitment to providing high-quality care, learning and development opportunities for children.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality care and education to children through engaging, play-based learning.
• Supervising and supporting the team within your room.
• Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child’s individual needs are supported.
• Identifying opportunities to improve learning and teaching techniques.
• Developing engaging experiences and environments that encourage children’s curiosity and development.
• Ensuring children’s individual learning and development needs are recognised and supported.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
• Supporting and conducting team meetings and appraisals where appropriate.
• Working closely with other Room Leaders and the wider management team.
• Building strong relationships with children, parents, colleagues and other professionals.
• Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and EYFS requirements are followed at all times.

Location: Chipping Norton

Salary: Up to £14.50 dependent on qualifications and experience

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

The Role
