Job summary

UCM Education is looking for a dedicated Toddler Room Educator / Room Leader to join a well-established nursery in Barnet. The role is permanent, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, offering a competitive rate of £14.50 per hour and the opportunity to lead the Toddler Room if appointed as Room Leader.

You will provide high-quality care and education in the Toddler Room, plan and deliver engaging EYFS activities, create a safe, stimulating environment, support children's development and wellbeing,

• Experience providing high-quality care and education in Early Years settings.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate EYFS activities.
• Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality care and education for children within the Toddler Room
• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
• Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play
• Supporting children's individual development, learning and wellbeing
• Acting as a key person and developing positive relationships with children and their families
• Completing observations and assessments to support children's progress
• Promoting high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and inclusive practice
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and supportive team environment
• If Room Leader, taking responsibility for day-to-day running of the Toddler Room
• Supporting and mentoring colleagues and maintaining high standards of Early Years practice

Job description

You will be:

• Providing high-quality care and education for children within the Toddler Room

• Supporting children's individual development, learning and wellbeing

• If appointed at Room Leader level, taking responsibility for the effective day-to-day running of the Toddler Room
• Supporting and mentoring colleagues and maintaining high standards of Early Years practice

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with Toddlers or within an Early Years setting and a genuine passion for supporting young children's development. A relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable, with stronger candidates also considered for Room Leader level depending on their skills and experience.
