Job summary

UCM Education Barnet is seeking a dedicated Toddler Room Educator / Room Leader for a well-established nursery. You will plan activities, safeguard children and build strong relationships with families to support development.

The permanent, Monday–Friday role runs 7:30am–4:00pm with a competitive £14.50/hour rate. Level 3 EYFS qualification is desirable, with room for progression to Room Leader for strong candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience with Toddlers or Early Years settings.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are recruiting for a Toddler Room Educator / Room Leader to join a well-established nursery in Barnet. The nursery is open to candidates at different levels of experience, making this a great opportunity for a strong Toddler practitioner looking to develop their career or an experienced Early Years professional ready to take responsibility for leading a room.

This is a permanent, Monday–Friday position offering consistent working hours of 7:30am–4:00pm, with a competitive rate of £14.50 per hour.

You will be:

• Providing high-quality care and education for children within the Toddler Room
• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
• Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play
• Supporting children's individual development, learning and wellbeing
• Acting as a key person and developing positive relationships with children and their families
• Completing observations and assessments to support children's progress
• Promoting high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and inclusive practice
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and supportive team environment
• If appointed at Room Leader level, taking responsibility for the effective day-to-day running of the Toddler Room
• Supporting and mentoring colleagues and maintaining high standards of Early Years practice

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with Toddlers or within an Early Years setting and a genuine passion for supporting young children's development. A relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable, with stronger candidates also considered for Room Leader level depending on their skills and experience.
